HARMONY AND ARCHITECTURE
Known as the Brazilian Saint-Tropez, Búzios is regarded by its variety of natural beauties, but also by an architecture and aesthetics that is perfectly blended with nature. As a destiny that translates beauty, harmony and refinement, Cliffside's purpose is to bring together these three elements, but not without the bravado of distinction.
The house was designed by Otávio Raja Gabaglia - also known as Búzios' Oscar Niemeyer by New York magazine -, famous by the ''Búzios Style'', which highlights wooden structures, just as the exposed roof, rising a very singular model of harmony between the building and the landscape. Which delivered a lot of contribution to the unique aesthetics and identity of the city. The decoration was made by the great decorator Emery de Lima Fata and Suely Auerbach, but also relying on the talent of Flávio Amaral, a renowned architect, with the design of some of the special furnitures that we have, some made with extremely rare types of wood and exotic materials.
Constructed over a cliff, we have a privileged sight to the ocean, what in addition to the architecture and the decoration, delivers an unique atmosphere. Obviously that we cannot forget to talk about our suites, a good chunk of our magic is contained there, the magic of experiencing Búzios with harmony and refinement. Every single one of them has pictures painted by recognized artists, which already traveled to museums and art galleries throughout the world. Combining with the pictures, our furnitures are designed with high quality materials, but also meticulously and strategically positioned in the suites, each one with its own singularity. Being all of them handcrafted, our attention to detail is even more prominent, both by the hands of Flávio Amaral and Valéria Totti, designed with rare and exotic types of wood - some of them are not even used anymore - we managed to bring luxury, comfort but also the special flavor of status and singularity. Last but not least, we can also bring a little bit of history, with our folding screen at the Suíte Presidencial, dating from the year of 1790, bringing almost three centuries of history, quality and decoration.
DECORATION, LUXURY AND SINGULARITY
Our sheets are 600 Thread Count, sewn by Trousseau, being only found at Copacabana Palace 6th floor. Our duvets are also confectioned by Trousseau and BICO, Swiss Company that also sews for 6 stars hotels in Dubai. Our lounge chairs and furnitures that adorn the living room were brought by the hands of Fernando Motta, winner of prizes by expositions in Milan and New York. Now, why not get back to Brazil? Yes, so we can talk about the Brazilian granite placed on the kitchen floor with other native stones, just as sculptures crafted by recognized artists on the north region, like Socorro Rodrigues and our hammocks, confectioned by Redes Santa Luzia, and our laced towels from the northeast region.
To talk about decoration is also a world journey, for it's just what we did, to materialize every single detail that comprises the space, thereby, from Brazil we fly straight to Limoges, in France. From there, we have our dishes, totally handcrafted and some even more ancient - specially for those who cherish historical tools and artifacts-. Limoges is famous for its decorated porcelain and a good part of it is exposed at the ''Musée National Adrien Dubouché''. It also has a medieval historical downtown, at Rue de la Boucherie. Finishing our journey, let's go to the region of Lorraine, in France, to talk about our crystal glasses, produced by Baccarat, French company that was established in the XVIII Century, known by its high quality glass and crystal objects.
"Cliffside has in its decoration, a vast furniture collection signed by Fernando Sá Motta. The workpieces were carefully chosen and customized to naturally blend with the settings, offering ergonomic comfort, aesthetics and the coziness that Cliffside provides to the hosts. The material used in the development of the furnitures stems from the highest quality found on the global market. In this signed furnishing, spotlights in recognition can be found, like the NID, inspired on a nest for people, that can be used as a swing or a daybed. This workpiece is probably the most photographed, globally speaking, nowadays, arousing a lot of curiosity wherever it's displayed.
The Santorini chaises, at the pool area, the Santorini sofa and armchairs in the living room, the Santorini chairs and table in the canopy, the Hug armchairs at the scotch bar, and another big differential, the pet beds Fininha in the rooms, so the hosts can assure that their best friends are feeling very comfortable."
